What is Osage Rub's Original Intended Use?

    I think you're supposed to rub it on your Osage... :rofl

    I think I read that it was originally a hair tonic. Not 100% sure, though...

    Now that I've googled it a bit, it seems like hair tonic is as good a guess as any. Good sleuthing, Eric.

    An Osage is a type of tree. So I'm guessing it would make a nice wood polish? :happy102

    I really cannot stand it as a facial splash. Not enough alcohol and waaaay too much menthol.

    Haven't tried it in my hair yet - I'm sure it'll do well there, and I like it on my body when it's hot...

    So far as an AS is concerned, though, no...

    Yep- hair tonic.

    Some barbers got adventurous and started using it as an aftershave, and the rest is history.
