I want one but I have to be smart about money so if I find one on the cheap or could trade for one Id be a happy camper! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
If it has endcaps, it is a 1946/47 Gillette Aristocrat. If it never had endcaps, (sometimes endcaps fall off), it could either be a Gillette Regent Tech, or a 1940/41 Gillette Aristocrat. Beware the open silo door, it could be damaged.
I have one. I will get you some pics of it tomorrow when I wake up. We can work something out. It has lost the end caps..very shaver grade but if you want it we'll make it happen.
Def has end caps, does have some metal tarnish but while I know Im a nood I thought it might be listed wrong. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
You get 1000 noob points for spotting the misidentification. BULLY!!! I am thinking after you see it if you want it I will throw it your way.
I have found with other vices a lot of people don't know what they are selling. I read a lot when I'm into something so I al picking things up fairly quick I think but given the numerous variations and sometimes bad pictures it can be interesting. I've also learned buy the item or what you believe it to be, not the story! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Seeing this is exactly what I mean. I have seen many of these listed as Aristocrats. Adding more layers of confusion
Honestly - they are Aristocrats. Or rather, the Aristocrats are Regent Techs. I suspect it was the last line of high end razors that Gillette was selling before the war, so it was the easiest one to put back into production immediately afterwards. They just changed the name to fit in line with the 'Diplomat' 'President', and so forth. Well, and say "Look, it's not the same razor at all! No, no, see? This is an Aristocrat, and THAT was a Regent."
