What is this?

So I received this "gift" from an Etsy seller when I purchased a couple of razors. I asked them what it was, and they have no idea, and neither do I. Anyone have a clue what this is? Hat pin? Tie Bar? Secret Spy poisoning device?

 

I think it is a shirt collar pin. Same concept as cuff links.

Third vote for the shirt collar pin. They normally thread on and off on one side but that looks like a pin/push connection. Perhaps a vintage one.

IMHO it's not a Tie Collar Pin, but rather is a Tie Collar Bar. I like those... they hold the knot of the tie at a good angle so it looks great and stays straight. Usually paired with matching cufflinks.
