It's a close call, but I'll go with mt Stoylin "li'l brudder" brush. Small, but strong. Also, as it is a brush, I can use it year-round.

This is a no-brainer for me. It’s my soap (the stuff that I make.)

Do you make soap that you sell or just your own home brew for your use?

It’s not a business- just my own home-brew.

Wow! So if I sold mine for $500, it's a deal steal?

    Razor: British Gillette Aristocrat no66
    Blade: Voskhod Teflon coated
    Brush: Razorock Beehive 28mm synthetic
Soap: Abbate Y La Mantia Garibaldi
Aftershave: T&H West Indian Limes (splash version)
These products work spectacularly when I use them. Sadly T&H no longer makes aftershave splashes; only balms and colognes. I’m not a balm fan so when I run out of WIL by Truefitt & Hill I’ll try their cologne version. AYLM is a fantastic shave soap that comes in many wonderful scents; definitely worth the price point. The Razorock Beehive brush proves best doesn’t always have to come with a premium price. The Voskhod blades always give me a close and comfortable shave. The British Gillettes are all excellent shavers; with the Aristocrat no66 at the top of the heap.

The sold ones are ranging from 150 to 250 for the most part. Still stupid for a zamac razor.

Yeah, I would not pay that either.

    Hmm.

All factors considered, the Gillette Senator.

Favorite? Not quite. Objectively the most versatile of what I got? Probably. I type this clean shaven, as of last night, for the first time in about 18 months. The Senator murdered a heavy goatee all on it's own and did it well. Nothing else I have could.

The NEW (don't have one anymore) might shave a tad better but it's not a TTO and the rhodium Senator will always be gorgeous.

The Feather DX could possibly fall into that catagory. Pricey! It gives a BBS shave in 2 passes. I use the ProGuard blades in it until I get more proficient.

My Best piece of gear for me is my latest purchase. The single edge the Razorock "Hawk v3" Standard. I have used it with a Feather ProGuard blade and also a Titan "Mild" blade. It shaves me BBS in 2 passes. I have it loaded with a Feather Professional blade for it's next shave now (possibly tomorrow). It was very mild with both blades I have used with it. I have ordered the open comb base plate for it

My best piece of gear - and my favorite - is my Gillette Slim adjustable razor. It is a great design that works really well.

My best piece of kit is also a Gillette Slim adjustable, of which I now own a spare.

I didn't truly enjoy DE shaving until my Slim came along. It's tolerant of imperfect technique and yields comfortable BBS shaves with just about any blade and lather. What more could a guy want?

I really should find new homes for my other DE and SE razors, as I rarely ever use anything but the Slim.

For me, the Rockwell 6S is a solid performer with ANY blade. Just wonderful in ANY situation.

Brush…that’s a rough one. For size and comfort, I’d say the Stirling Synthetic is a solid go to.

Of the dozens of soaps I have and probably over 100 I’ve tried, stinky Arko is a solid performer in any situation.
