I admire her skill. Though I can make repairs, such as re-sewing an open seam or a loose button, I haven't the facility for making clothing. I wish I did. As I am tall, I would love to be able to customize my clothing. My sewing is more craft-oriented. I have made a baby-blanket & pillow, some quilted place mats & bow-ties for some stuffed animals.
I didn't think you guys got snow there. Funny, I tell people I live near buffalo NY and they say "Wow you must get a lot of snow!" Like we're the snow capital of the world ..... Right.
I just figured out North Dakota snow is a lot heavier than Montana snow. The wind really packs it in. If the forecast is correct I'll be doing the same "manly thing" tomorrow. It doesn't even have to snow the wind just has to blow and the driveway is full again. Predicting -55 wind chills.
We get SNOW here at the ranch But honestly after 17 years, I have only seen -11°F ONCE and we rarely go down below 15°F But here in the Idaho Panhandle the snow does fall, usually gently on the cedars hehehe heck the wind rarely gets over 10mph But 8 feet for the year here is the norm I get serious about moving it off the road as we are 1 mile in from the highway
I hope you count your self blessed to have such a beautiful area to live. So often we fail to see how good we have things, right were we are.
Looks nice. My wife has talked about Idaho, as one of the.places to retire to, in a few years. I sure enjoy seeing pictures you post, infrequently, of your place, and area.
If it was a Gas Operated Power Tool, then yes, it was manly. If it was an Electric Power Tool, very girly. Fess up, which was it?? ..
I shoveled snow yesterday, again this morning and will have to do one more time today. 35 mph winds and it's really drifting this morning.
Built my own shoulder rig from existing materials I had on hand. • Duluth Trading side clip suspenders • Uncle Mike's #4 pocket holster • several 1/8th and 1/4 inch nickel Chicago screws Took me about an hour to get it right, then wore it out for a two mile walk with the girls. Could easily be worn all day. Lighter, more flexible and much more comfortable than the excellent hand-made leather rig I bought a few weeks ago (live and learn) mainly because the footprint of the Kydex molded sleeve for that rig is so inflexible that the gun prints under my arm no matter which way I orient it. Almost no print with the setup I made today, as everything is somewhat flexible and better moulds itself to the ribcage. Won't last nearly as long as the leather but the EC9s is relatively light enough that it should last a good while, then will be simple enough to remake. Total cost: around $25 Next step: try to attach a few rare earth magnets to the back of the opposite side to hold a spare mag.
Have you had any experience with the Beretta APX? I am looking to get a striker fire in a month or two.
