  5. Shave was very enjoyable Mike. I’ve actually had this one coming up on 2 years now. It was my 2nd one, a little larger at 13/16, and I was able to pass on the other to a friend.

Hoshi Tombo 6000 on loan from a friend, honed with a mikawa nagura progression on a big hard stone dubbed ‘The Boulder’, details in the honing thread.

Cream was AoS Ocean Kelp lathered with a 22mm Maggard SHD knot set in the ‘hippie handle’ and a dab of ABC almond balm left me BDBS, a perfect 10/10 shave.
  8. EXCELLENT!!! BDBS is always a good thing. That brush handle reminds me of some "Dead Heads", and their micro buses.
  9. Lol, it does. Scott (life2short1971) makes the handles from resin and he gave me this one sans knot when I had some other brush work done. I suspect that he figured that it wouldn’t sell and he’s probably right. But it makes me smile every time I use it and my Simpsons and Rooneys don’t do that.

This should be right before the turn of the century, as I think they became Challenge Cutlery after 1898.
Cool shape and scales, and as it says on the blade... delivered a “Clean Shave!” :)
