What type of brush did barbers use for talc?

I have great memories of my neighborhood barbershop in the early 1960's. Hot lather and STR8 razor on the sideburns and back of the neck followed by Clubman talc. The talc was brushed on with a fairly soft brush. I'm hoping someone knows what kind of brush barbers usually used for this.

My barber uses a big neck brush that looks like horsehair...but it could be any number of things.

I have also seen goat hair in black.

My barber cannot use talc on me, because I choke and cough terribly. :(

Try...wrapping a hand towel around your hand..add just a bit of talc and pat it slowly..this helps not make a huge talc cloud. :D that's the way I do it, until I get a barbers brush off eBay or somewhere else

my barber had one that held the talc in the handle and it would dispense a little bit into the bristles for dusting. It was pretty cool.
