An injector was a single or twin blade razor made by Schick, where you inject
the razor blade into the handle without touching the blade. Inspired by the repeating rifle .

Sounds like a marketing flop. Of course most things Schick comes out with are. Wait, they have the 45 blade cartridge which rips my face to shreds. Hmmm...it'd be neat to load a blade using the injector. Maybe like once. Then I'd be bored and pissed I paid actual money to do that.

They were made between 1927 and to the late 90's (early 2000's in Japan)

They were definitely not a marketing flop, but after 30 years of competition from the Cartridge/System razor, Schick ceased production.

    The blades are still made.

    I have two :D

Like Sabre said, I wouldn't consider a 30 year run a marketing flop. They are very easy to to find the right angle and are just great shavers plain and simple.

When I really want a true BBS shave, I grab my E type and load in a fresh Pella, it just doesn't get any easier than that for me.

It is a 70 year run, but I do not know about competition from the DE razor, rolls razors etc but certainly since the system 70 and the GII/Trac II were introduced in the 70's the Injector was up against it with the cartridge razor whether
system or disposable. I mean how can you add a lubra strip and microfins to an Injector :D.

There were several models of the injectors over the year. They are simple razors that give great results even if they don't have the wow factor of the other razors we use. Colonel Schick was a firearms expert and designed the original repeaters to have a magazine which held the blades and was then cocked to load a fresh blade - very cool! The newer injector models still have a external magazine which is aligned with the head to inject a fresh blade.

Oops, of course you are right about the lifespan of the injectors. The early hour and difficult input device contributed to my mistake.

You can also use them to shave with.

They shave well but it's an unsatisfactory experience.

Feels like you're using a rustic BIC.

    Get a DE instead.

Send your unwanted injectors to me then. I love them!

Now who would consider such a thing?
