What's it with Lamy pens and flying?

For some reason, my Lamy pens won't behave during flights (short haul, so medium altitude). Most of my other modern pens leak no drop in the cap, even when only partially filled. But both my Lamy 2000 and Persona suffer from "inky section syndrome", even when completely full.
AFAIK both pens have a different feed design, so it may be a case of bad luck. But it is remarkable that even my vintage Sheaffer'S FS Balance has less issues than my modern Lamy pens.

Anyone else with similar problems? Which pens work best for you when travelling?
