DE: A 1919 Gillette Old Standard in Gold (Straights: a couple ~1850s with some 17xx to restore on the way )
That would be a 1941 Ranger Tech and a 1941 Milord. I've owned older razors but have settled in to keeping only one's that I use.
Mine would be a 40's SS, a great shaver My oldest straight is well over 100 years old and is a fantastic shaver
i use the merkur HD, most likely made a year or so ago but at one time the '40 SS was my favorite. s~s
WoW Thanks for the list Guys I just picked up 1959 Fat boy and a 1963 slim I like the look of the older stuff I can't wait to try them out to see how different they shave . Thats got to be great to have so many different razors in someones collection and still use them I guess I got my first antique store find under my belt and I'm hooked it was fun cleaning them up
Have used but no longer: 1960 Gillette Fatboy or Slim (I forget) Sometimes use: Schick Krona (I think from the 70s) Normally use: Merkurs (My pride and joy )
2007 TESC Gold Lined Chatsworth I have several old Gillettes, 1906-1970-something. Single Ring, New, several SS, Fat Boy, Super Adjustable, etc. Oh, and a gold Slant. Every time I use any of them (especially the SA), I really wish I hadn't. Always go back to the Merkur head of the Chatsworth.
Yeah, or I could sell 'em for $60-80 a pop. And I'll be dead before I use all the soap I already have!
1904 Gillette that my grandfather bought new. This is the razor I started with when I was 14 YO. Yikes! That's over 40 years ago.... Ken.
