Tom, do those handle screw apart? I have DD #5, it make the big Omega kinda look like a minnow. The knot would be in the 30-32mm range, closer to 32 I'm guessing.
O.K. Gents, here is the information on the brush and the knot sizes. http://www.osborn.com/usa/en/products/part-search-results.html?m=ps&c=576 #4 = 1.000" diameter =25 mm diameter #5 = 1.125" diameter =28 mm diameter #6 = 1.250" diameter = 31 mm diameter #7 = 1.375 " diameter = 35 mm diameter #8 = 1.500" diameter = 38 mm diameter The #5 Plymouth I have at the opening measures 30 mm so there seems to be some amount of "play" against the standard measurements by the brush makers.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that pic! Approaching lather perfection! I think tonight, my soap will be PG slathered by the 10098!
I don't know, didn't try to unscrew the top from the bottom. That chart Gary posted is interesting, but I also think there is some play because this 27mm knot fit without having to enlarge the opening any.
Gary, your a walking encyclopedia. Thanks! I picked up my brush in an antique store along with a deep handle-less milk glass mug as a pair.
I love my 31064. Looks like a badger and as soft as a badger and works great on soaps or cream. Nice acrylic handle with more heft than the plastic handles.

Gents: I got my Omega Pro 49 in the mail before my shave this morning. My first impression: this thing is a MONSTER. Compared to my Silvertip, it's HUGE. So I grabbed my XXX soap and got started. The loft on this brush is almost too much. Maybe it needs to be broken in a bit, or I just need to get used to it. Once I built a good lather, this brush felt like a paintbrush, more so than anything I've ever used before. I'll report back when it's broken in and I'm used to it. Here's some eye candy though
