Our shared hobby here on TSD has allowed me to learn a great deal about not only products and useage of items, but the history and commonality of them as well. And wow...the variety of things we discuss on TSD...natural, synthetic, plant based, animal based, soft, scratchy, vintage, modern, artisan, factory made, fancy, hand made, good smell, bad smell etc. TSD has it all and the sharing of info and humor has been a great source of enjoyment and entertainment. TSD is a fine group of guys and gals who find something new to share all the time. TSD is the first and only forum Im involved in, and even my Amy is a member and shares our enthusiasm. Long live TSD. I strongly suggest to all my friends that they come visit us here at The Sock Den. (Edit: there does seem to be an inordinate amount of discussion about shaving here though).
TSD was the first place I landed when I arrived from outer space. Great place, comfortable as old shoes (but smells better). I jump around, but always drop in to TSD to remind me that its always nice to be among friends.
I keep coming back because of the quality of the members. I have been on other forums where some of the members consider themselves to above everyone else that their opinions on anything are presented as fact and the get mad if challenged. When the post something and someone disagrees with their point of view, the thread degenerates into rudeness and personal attacks. They only want folks to respond who echo their opinions. That would make a forum very boring, very fast. I don't see that here. Somehow everyone here understands that shaving is YMMV venture and that all of our opinion are valid, even the ones we may not agree with.
Beautiful post. A lot of old familiar names in that thread. Dridecker is one I've missed, unless he's lurking here under a pseudonym, like our beloved Crackstar?
I think the frog gets a mulligan when you consider the spelling of the "animal that begins with H and ends in E and has 5 letters"
Floyd would probably use Williams, or Colgate. Lucky Tiger was popular back then too so he might use it too. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
