1) B&B is just too big. It just doesn't feel personal to me. 2) SRP is more straight razor orientated. I love my straights but d/e's and s/e's are what I use most, 3) This is the most open minded forum around. YMMV is a belief most of us have. It doesn't matter if you use VDH or Tabac, a Plisson or cheap Turkish horsehair. It's all good here. These are just my opinions, and feel free to add your own thoughts. Of coarse, YMMV.
I just joined after lurking at B&B, SRP and here. And I agree with you 100 percent. That is why I joined. I like to go to B&B and just read but i get lost in the massive amounts of post's and thread's.
This is one of the more civilized forums, I tend to feel more connected to the members here and the acceptance of higher end brushes and goods are also getting better. :eatdrink047
It feels like home. - Everybody is willing to lend a hand when needed and we like to share our stuff.
I've only been here a few weeks, but can wholeheartedly agree with all the above mentioned reasons. I stated my wetshaving journey at B&B, but haven't really read a thread over there since the rebuild. I'm sure it helped that I joined and was trying to learn this group right before it all happened and that helped to force my hand, but there's something about this group that just feels right if you know what I mean, and since you are all here I would guess that you do. :sihns011
To me it's the right amount of everything; help, tips, advice, sarcasm, humor, kindness, & generosity. I'm just loving my time here at 'da Den!
It is VERY nice to be able to give an opinion on something and not be stoned in the streets. That's a very rare thing on the intarwebs.
