I don't know much about these razors but this one cleaned up real nice. It doesn't like it was ever used or honed. I haven't put it to a stone yet and is already sharp enough to cut hairs off my arm with no problem. Great Christmas gift my sis in law found in an antique shop for me!

It's a great find by your sister-in-law! It looks like it will be a very good shaver too -- enjoy it.

Don't let anyone have that razor, no matter how much they beg. It will stand up to just about anything on the market. The steel in those blades is amazing.

The very first restoration I ever sold was a Wilbert, and oddly enough, the guy who bought that one, bought every other Wilbert I ever put up. I think he wound up with 4 from me. I don't have a ton of experience with them, but he sure loved them. And you don't run across many vintage ones with blades in that good condition. Hold on to it, keep her honed and oiled, and you'll keep a great razor.
