OK, maybe not the greatest, but still good enough for me. I know some guys who love it. I'd buy it again, for sure. Jeff
Good Stuff Got a few of these puppies via my good friend up "North" , and I must say that these sure are a treat. Wilkinson shave soap (blue) lathers easily, does a decent job of softening the beard, and provides for an excellent shave each and every time I use it. Recommendation: Buy
I got it of Joe! who got it of our Canadian buddies! :rofl I am impressed but it is not my fav, things may change the more I use it, Like Tabac, Aqua Velva (its true I did not like the scent the first few uses and now look at me an AV FREAK!).
I got the soap from a buddy. It's quite cheap here n Germany. It lathers well and does everything for a good shave. But I miss moisturizing. So it's not perfekt for me. Besides this I don't care very much for the scent. So I would probably not buy it again.
The Shave Stick - which I hear doesn't smell like this soap - gets all the love but not the Blue Bowl? Ridiculous. An dazzling product, Wilkinson Sword SS lathers easily, is inexpensive and possesses one of the best scents in wetshaving. GIVE ME A BREAK!
Not a winner I dont care much for this soap, its fast to lather but the lather you get is not very useful. Its not that slick or protective and the scent is boringly general and in a way similar to a lot of goo-products.. I do like the black bowl but has not found the blue bowl to be similar in any way.. Not a winner and not a soap I would buy again..
Tried it again recently and found it better than I remembered it; better than Williams Mug, not as good as Proraso. The scent is the same as Draggon Noir aftershave. Yeah, I'll keep some around from now on.
..you pay for what you get this stuff is no exception, the smell is great, the product is garbage, takes a life time to get a decent lather and it evaporates quickly on your face, I got rid of this soaap after 5-6 tries.that was it, not recommended your better of with canned stuff then this.
Love the scent personally. Just picked some up while visiting Canada. I am still new to shaving, but I found that it stayed moist longer than other soaps I've been experimenting with. Lather had something to offer, but I am interested to try it when I get home in a big scuttle. I would but again. Its cheap enough to have on the shelf, but I have yet to see it in Wisconsin.
I found it hard to lather at first. It's not as slick as other soaps, but the scent leaves you face with a very clean feeling. The more I use it the more I like it.
Nice soap I traded this soap so I cannot tell anything about the price. It lathers with ease but not 100% agree with my hard water, so the lather holds for no so long, but long enough for 3 passes. I'm not crazy about the scent also, but it disappear in minutes. Don't know if I want to get another bowl of it, but it is all personal and only because I have better soaps in my den. If you have a chance - try it, you can love it, but if not - that soap will not empty your pockets. It gives close and comfortable shaves, soothing.
