Wilkinson Sword 7 day Set

Just got this in from @twhite yeaterday!
One blade is useable and was honed by Twhite for me.

First use: Dang! Really nice two pass shave. Loving it!

Glad the blade worked out for you. Did it need additional stropping? It should smooth out a bit more over the next few shaves.

Nope. It was good out of the box. Literally smooth going.

I have a surgical black that’ll do nice on touch up time. Whenever that’ll be.

 

Did a two pass face and head shave. Oh yeah. This razor is a winner.

 

Nice. Always found the permanent blade, safety razors interesting.
How was the blade honed?

Sorry. Been away from the forums a little. The seller was nice enough to hone it for me. I believe it was done to 12k then finished on a trans Ark.

 

Wow, you are collector. I have a Wilkinson, but it is a straight.

 

Yes that is how it was done. Naniwa synthetic progression to 12k then a trans Arkansas.

 

I bought most of my sets, for between $5-$10, from the UK, several years ago. Shipping was only $3-$4 back then. Back then, they had a hard time even selling them.
