I enjoy Williams Mug Soap on its own, it always affords me a close shave. Plus the scent is subtle, and clean....unobtrusive. Recently, I took a puck of this soap and put it at the bottom of a shave mug....the same mug that I soak my brush in while showering, and the same mug that I'll build a proto-lather if I'm not going directly to the face. Here's the process (in detail): Soak brush as usual, now with Williams Mug Soap a the bottom of mug Dump water out, shake brush out gently (leave a fair amount of water) Add lathering shave cream to brush Build lather directly on Williams Mug puck, mixing the soap with cream Go to face Go back to mug, continue mixing lather Go back to face, repeat Step 6 if so desired Allow lather to sit on face for a few minutes Whiskers melt away. Because the Williams mug gets super-saturated during the soaking, it mixes well with the cream and provides a superb lather. I don't doubt this can be done with just about any soap, but I have noticed the soap to be disappearing rather quickly so the price of Williams is most suitable.
Sweet idea -- will try it this week! And agreed that Williams is cost-effective enough to try this all the time.
Joe, that sounds very interesting..., I think I would try it, but the Williams Mug soap isn't easy to find in Germany. Burma soap at Ebay, but Williams...???
hilarious 20... that would make this a MUST do for you to even get thru that stock before your RETIRE ! Excellent that would have been my concern indeed doesnt soap melt quickly when its on the bottom with alot of super HOT water on top the price for the Williams im sure its ok to do this. too bad no Pictorial other then that excellent advice as always. ::
Yeah, back when Walgreens did that clearance on the Williams I sent an email to Combe asking if the soap was being discontinued.....as I really like the soap. Before Combe responded, which took a few weeks, I commenced a seek-and-seizure operation of all Williams Mug Soap in a 10 mile radius. Would be glad to do a pictorial. Here's a preview: 'lather floweth over'
Joe, I don't know how you do it with Williams soap--I only bombed out with it every time. I still have a puck of it here in the house unstarted, if you want it, you got it, bro!
That sounds very interesting. Not only that.but the water the brush and soap are sitting in..has floaters of soap that are already going into the brush
Jeff, GREAT OFFER! But we get Williams Mug Soap for 97 cents here in the states. The stamp you put on it will be worth more then 3 pucks.
