Witch hazel as a pre-shave?

    Pardon me if this sounds ridiculous but have any of you tried witch hazel as a pre-shave? I use it after every shave and love the way it tightens up the skin. Do you think that might stand the hair up a little? So far not impressed with any pre-shave oils.

    I would think it would be too drying on the skin before a shave. But yes, please give us your feedback.
