Not sure what I was thinking, maybe I was under the influence but I put a low bid in on this razor... to my surprise I won. I usually avoid the 'Bay for razors but what the heck. I am interested to hear anyones experience with Dorko razors.
Curiousity begs that I ask how much? Dorko razors are some of the most sought after straight razors on the market. They are considered amongst the best made vintage razors from Solingen, Germany. They hold a sharp edge and perform exceptionally well. This one looks quite clean, and if that holds true, depending on the price paid, you may have gotten a great value. Either way, it's a nice razor.
That's the first time I've heard that. Doesn't surprise me though. Dorko is kind of like the C-Mon brand, made for the barber industry. Generally high quality overall.
I personally prefer puma and dubl duck from Germany, or wostenholm or wade and butcher from England when purchasing vintage razors. Unfortunately, so do a lot of other people, so those typically go for premiums. The prices on dubl ducks lately are getting crazy high.
Including shipping to Korea $64. I don't feel guilty, I was just hoping to find one with the cooler looking logo. I hope it is in as good shape as it looks in the photo.
