I have always liked wooden merchandises. The texture is pleasing to the sense of touch and sight. What are some of your favorite wooden handled straights?
I like m my Dovo Flowing with Grenadille scales, is it is more commonly referred to as African Blackwood. I too like wood. All of my guns have wood grips or stocks too.
Among new razors, I think the Dovo La Forme (6/8) is beautiful. I believe the material is actually "multiwood," which is a water-proof "wood substitute" made of polyester resin.
In the realm of disposable blade straight razors, the Feather Artist Club DX (stainless steel blade holder) with Teakwood scales is a beauty. The standard FAC DX looks homely beside her... vs.
Thiers Issard favors natural materials on their beautiful razors. These three stunners have long been in my inspiration file... Sabatier 6/8 Bucephale (Boxwood Scales) Burlwood Special 7/8 (dyed Burlwood scales) Le Canadien 6/8-7/8 (Snakewood scales)
That's some good great recommendations. I am currently waiting for the Antiga Barbearia de Bairro shavette. Can't wait for the delivery to arrive.
hey! the shavette is here!! it works really well. I just have to adapt to it as the unfamiliarity is causing my cuts and nicks. Does anyone know how to fit a half DE blade between the tines when they can't be individually rotated from the pivot?
Does anyone have a Dovo La Forme? i've been looking for one, they're beautifuil. Burlwood scales are really nice! ty Ohpaos
