How many own a WW2 GILLETTE GI issue Bakelite? How do they shave?
I have the same one you showed in WTB. For me, it shaves as good as any other Gillette tech, including the Pre-War tech.
Got a pic? Is there anyway to know for sure it was a GI Gillette Bakelite?
Short answer Gillette never made a bakelite razor head for civilian production, if it says Gillette on the razor head it is military issue.
I've owned one I think they are more aggressive than a standard tech pre or post war but wouldn't go out of the way to buy one as a user razor. Nostalgia, collectible reasons or you still want one for personal experience usage are a different story.
I have a old type that says property of US government. So I’m just looking for one from WW2 to go with the WW1 old type.
The one I’m looking for would need correct head and cap.
Same razor in metal case..................
Man that looks great
Arn’t there a few other brands that look the same?
Some of the Conrad Clix razors look similar but you can tell for sure since they are branded as Clix.
Star Bakelite Razor...................
I have one or two of those. I think a clix also looks similar.
There we go. I saw this after I replied.
They're both good razors.
Indeed... for two sided thingies.
