It reproduces the first adjustable razor, the French Bohin. https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/bohin-razor.543726/ But the new Yaqi Bohemia is definitely more muscular. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005096692573.html
Another @twhite copy. They must have alarms rigged to go off every time you post a new razor. I gotta say, as much as I don't care for Chinese stuff, they are driving innovation in modern DE razors. ...by copying the old stuff, of course.
Oh I read it. And yeah, stainless steel and all that. It's a good looking razor, and it's been added to the list of razors I might someday add to my collection.
Interesting looking razor, not sure about buying it. I will wait and see if others like using it , it is bulky at the bottom plate closed comb front side but I do not think it would affect the shave so wait and see. Might be a miserable head to machine and a fixtures would have to be made I'm thinking to hold it accurately.
@twhite did a pass around with his modern interpretation, and also included a vintage famex cage as well. There was no difference in the shave, other than the aluminum version was lighter, and thus required a slightly different technique. You flip the baseplate to get a different aggression level. A more elegant razor from a more civilized age...
That's a beautiful razor, but highly doubt I'd purchase one ..... maybe if they get the price point ~$40.
Looks very interesting…I will wait. Not quite sure if the razor fits my liking. Maybe there will be a chance to test it first. But it looks damn good…
That's where I'm at as well. I think it would look better with a more retro style handle, as a nod to the original.
There is an an old saying, "the French copy no one, and no one copies the French." Until now. The saying is usually applied to French firearms and automobiles, but it's also appropriate to apply it to razors.
