    Yeah, I know - another one. ;)

I currently use a Mach 3, which gives good results with my coarse whiskers and sensitive skin - but lacks the precision needed to keep my beard in trim. I considered getting a straight razor/Shavette, but with my many moles etc. it wouldn't be suitable for my daily shave...

So, I'm looking for my first DE razor. Unfortunately, the choices here are slim: either a cheap (Weishi?) twist-to-open, or a Premax (Muele R89?) open comb.
(No sign of an adjustable; Dad had a Gillette Super Speed or similar.)

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers!

    Welcome aboard!

I have no suggestions. I purchased my SuperSpeed off Ebay but prices were more reasonable then.

Looks like Steve sent you in the right direction.

You may also look into finding a vintage razor. Those made in decades past were of top quality and worth a look.

Welcome Jaeger! Nice to have another colonial in the ranks.

Just an idea but maybe a Feather Portable DE might be an easy starter for you? Ticks most of the boxes for you and if you like it you can continue to use or use it as your dedicated portable.

Search will give you links easily or feel free to PM me for links as a nice guy sells them direct and also on Feebay.

    Cheers, Nick

    Welcome aboard Jaeger!
I also think a Feather Portable would be a good start. I had a short beard for years and used a Schick Injector to keep it trimmed. Very easy to drive around the corners.
