I remember when I got these sets a few years back. Neat piece and a different shave. Have you ever shaved with an OC Tech?
What did you do, buy those off of elmerwood? British made, for the French market. From all reports they shave exactly like a normal tech razor.
Or you are him, since you are using his photo. Why not post photos of the entire display set in all it's glory?
No. A Google search for open comb tech brings up his thread with these razors on Badger & Blade as pretty much the first result. Thank you for posting them here. I didn't even know there was such a thing as an open comb tech until today. There's still things I haven't yet learned about old razors, and that makes me a happy person.
I have, once before. It held a raised flat bottom British New, and according to rumor, was collected by an allied soldier from Adolf Hitler's private retreat. The lid was engraved with "AH." From the article where I found that picture: "I'm familiar with these ivory cases -- they were an aftermarket re-casing by/for an upscale London retailer or retailers, and I have read that they were also available in ebony. I've seen the name "W. Barreu Ltd." quoted, but I haven't been able to track down anything further on that name to verify anything there myself."
I too remember this razor. They made these cases for a lot of razors from old types to news. This is one of my special razors
True that^^^ occasionally you'll find those crossover razors that are marked Rotobart and Gillette. Kind of cool off shoot to collect. I just want all the old types and special engraved sets and sterling silver sets.....I guess I want a lot
