There are a lot of options when it comes to shaving creams. No matter what you're looking for in a cream it can probably be found in multiple varieties and price ranges. Do you want a cream that smells like koala breath? Try RazoRock S. Maria. Want to try a cream made from Cicada Oil? Here you go: http://www.groominglounge.com/grooming-lounge-cicada-shaving-cream.html (it's reasonably priced too). Do you live in a crazy hot place and need something refreshing and cold? There are TONS of menthol creams. In fact, there are so many creams that it can be dizzying (and bank account draining) to attempt to navigate through the many choices. Shaving creams come in many different forms and price ranges, from the uber expensive Santa Maria Novella and Aqua Di Parma jars to the crazy cheap Derby and Arko creams in a tube. Here are my favorites inexpensive creams: 1) Kiss My Face Green Tea and Bamboo (a nice green scent and great lather) 2) Kiss My Face Key Lime (a sweet smell and a great price) 3) Karo Classic (amazing lather with an old world feel) 4) Derby Normal (thick lather at an amazingly low price) 5) Ikar Tornado (awesome lather with a mild sandalwood scent that doesn't overwhelm or burn) Good shaving creams don't have to cost a lot, so what are your favorite low cost creams?
I'd agree with Jabberwock - the KMF range is truly outstanding, and not just as an inexpensive option. I have been leaning more toward those creams than the more expensive options in the den, simply because they deliver (for me) a wonderful shave experience.
I use the KMF with a brush, it lathers extremely well. I haven't tried Godrej creams yet, but they get great reviews and I like the Godrej soap, so I will have to give them a go sometime soon.
I've only used it with a brush, but I am quite sure it could be used without. I believe the back of the container even specifies that it can be used without a brush.
I'm thinking of making a bestshave order mainly because I want to get a horsehair brush and some Arko Ice Mint. I haven't tried either but they both sound intriging. Problem is now I feel the need to order enough to get free shipping which is going to be a huge order of Arko cream
I've wanted to try Real Shaving Co., but they don't stock it anywhere around here that I have seen. I could order it online, but I haven't talked myself into doing that yet. Bestshave has a ton of good creams: Ikar, Karo, Derby, etc. I'm sure you could experiment with enough products to get free shipping, but their shipping prices are fairly reasonable, especially if you buy a bunch of blades which do not add much weight to the order.
Yeah, they didn't have it. There aren't any Rite Aids within 100 miles of me and I haven't spotted it in any of the other grocery stores or pharmacies...I am sure I will find some right after I finally break down and order it online.
I like the MEM Olive shaving cream, made in Israel. Very good performance and excellent for its price.
Over here (The Netherlands) Palmolive Classic and -of course- De Vergulde Hand are cheap and great creams!
Here are some of my inexpensive creams which I really enjoy: 1) Palmolive Menthol 2) Palmolive Classic 3) Arko Ice Mint 4) Gada Cool Mint 5) Florena 6) Speick 7) Wars 8) Lider Classic 9) Godrej Menthol Mist 10) Aspis Ice Rain 11) Pascale 12) SuperMax Menthol I'd better stop right now or I'll be here for another 6 hours. These creams just came into my mind, so that's why I mentioned them.
