I figure everyone that has used a Gillette has to have one. This does not have to be your No 1 razor just your favorite by Gillette. I know sometimes that can change but give it a shot. Mine has got to be the NEW LC, at least the head.
Black handle SS. That's what I used for years. No gimmicks decent shaver. The black plastic coating helped with grip.
Kind of a toss up, but I think for both beauty and a decent shave I'd have to pick the 47-51 Aristocrat TTO. For just producing the BEST shave it would be a Fat Handle Tech... This is odd because when I first started I was in love with solid bar Adjustable TTO's, FatBoys' and short handled Super Adjustable's in particular. Now-a-days I never use either, I only use 3 piece razors. My daily razors are a Weber DLC and a Cadet OC, both mated to heavy BullDog type handles. The next razor I'm going to buy just to try out is an Italian FaTip OC, from what I've read the shave head as well as handle, is supposed to be all brass.
Fat Handle Tech. Tried one today with a Feather for my first run in with a Feather blade. Definitely held up all the hype about feather blades in mild razors. Great shave and definite encouragement not to go to the apartment pool today.
1967 M-3 Gillette Knack TTO/DE {issued to me in Boot Camp} * Weber 3pc. S/S Polished Head 85mm Classic Handle * {This is my Preferred Razor & Favorite}
Gillette Sensor - 2 blades, cool metal and black handle, 2 buttons to press. That was my all time favorite. After that I shaved sparingly, hated the Mach3 and everything after that. Hated shaving. But then - nirvana - a "Slim" DE razor. I have shaved everyday since. In fact, I can't wait to shave. Everything is brand new again.
I dig all of mine, daddy-o. My '58 T.V. Special Super Speed was my pop's so if I could only keep one I guess that would be it but I love them all. Old Type, a Gold and a Nickel Fat Handled Tech, birth year Blue Tip, birth year Red Tip, and a Fat Boy are my others that I use regularly. I really couldn't pick a fav.
