Razor blades.

What is the amount and type of Single edge or double edge blades you keep in your vault?
Can you have too many ?
When is too many a certifiable disease?

This is the one AD I don't have just yet. I settled on Rapira PL fairly early and made an order of 100 of which I have about 80 left. I ordered 25 Gillette Silver Blue blades also and have most of these left. My dad sent me the remainder of a sampler pack he had ordered once he decided he didn't want to try more blades. That is the extent of my stash.

 

You show amazing self-discipline . , however, it's early in the game.

 

About 150 or so of Astra SPs.
I found these work well for me in all my DEs.

 

100 or so.

Mostly ASCO orange DE and Chick Injectors.

 

couple hundred, not terribly many.
enough that I've been thinking about what to keep them in.

 

It's some kind of condition. I don't even feel like I have RBAD, as I know what RAD feels like . It's just that in the course of finding which blades work best for you, you simply acquire a large number of brands, if not actual blades.
IMO you can't have too many, because you need to try a particular blade to actually know if it works for you or not.

I have about 700 DE and about 100 SE blades.

No, I don't think that is excessive. I bought the blades in bulk because they were really cheap.

 

I save the little silica packets from all my other products, just to put them with my blades.

 

I've got 20 or so Astra SP's. Guess I should start thinking about buying some more?

 

Me too, i just keep them all in a gallon sized freezer bag.

 

I looked after this thread. they sell them in 100 packs, free shipping for like four bucks, gonna get some.
a cigar box aught to be repurposed into a good blade vault.

 

I have a lot of everything. Last time I looked I had somewhere around 1400-1500 blades. I keep them in a drawer. I keep a baggie full of mixed blades that I use to pull from, since I use a blade twice I go through blades fairly quick. On the days I shave my face & head that blade gets binned afterwards.

 

About 500, mostly Silver Iridiums and Feathers. Feels a little vulnerable, think I'll go order some more...

 

After reading my hasty addition to this thread some clarification is needed. I keep my blades (300-400) in the gallon sized ziplock bags with a few desiccant packs. I have a bunch of dessicant packs and use them for a lot of things.

 

I have a couple of hundred assorted DEs, but only 20 or so SEs and Injector blades.

 

Won 100 Rapiras in a PIF and also got maybe 40 or so odd blades lying around in addition to that.
Thankfully this is not an AD-area for me.
