I am Just curious what are everyones top 3 shavers/razors in there Shave Den ? Also your preferred razor handle length.

I have been Whet Shaving now for better than 17 years now and in that time I have owned and tried quite a few razors. Expensive razors as well as not so expensive razors and a few vintage razors to. I have found price does not necessarily determine the quality of the shave. With that said we all know everyone’s likes and needs do differ often quite a bit, the old saying is YMMV with my set up.

To date for me my top 3 shavers that give me the best shaves consistently are listed below. I do myself tend to like and prefer newer not so much vintage quality steel razors.

Listed in no particular order to date. All great shavers for me and give comfortable BBS shaves consistently.

    * Razorock SS GC.84 plate 3” handle.
    * Razorock SS Lupo .95 plate (2021 model) 3” handle.
    * Karve Razor Brass & SS model with the C .85 plate 3” handle.

I do also prefer 3” or the shorter type handles on my razors.

    Happy Shaves All,
    Bill G

I've gotten darn near BBS with each and every one.

    Nope. Don't do favorites! :p

My top 3 best shavers, (not necessarily my favorite razors, but ones that deliver a close, comfortable repeatable shave).

    Cooper Monobilt
    Blackland Blackbird
1936 British Gillette TTO OC Aristocrat

Favorite handle length depends on the razor, but I generally go for the 80-90 mm range. 3 1/4" or so.

I also like my Timeless .95 SB razors but I got to be careful with them on the neck area. They are super quality razors.

The Haircut & Shave Co. razor looks interesting. Only just recently heard of using 17-4 stainless for razor making, and here I find another razor made from it. $600 though... ouch.

What's strange is that I tried so many adjustables and never found one I liked and now I can't put those Rocnel things down

    Well, in terms of DE...
    1. Personna 3 piece with angled cap - not sure if it has a name. Maybe 1960s-'70s.
    2. Flat base Tech 1940-ish.
    3. Early heavy ball-end Tech 1950-ish.

I've mostly migrated to SE razors over the past few years, but here are the razors I tend to use more often than the others. Are they better? Are they my favorites? I don't really know as I get great shaves from just about any razor in my collection.

    Ever Ready 1924
    Gem Micromatic ClogPruf
    RR Hawk V3 Standard

    sorry ,top 4 ..

    my 4 fav's.

well here it is,my 4 favorite 3 piece razors
these will stay together as the are.
    l to r top-brit new /tech hybrid/french fat handle,nickel new SC/tech ball end handle
    l-r bottom-brit new rfb/french thin handle,canadian fb tech/canadian military handle.
these took a bit of time to acquire and build but it's worth it to me.
all are very well balanced, nimble, heavy and smooth/efficient.
no complete sets were ruined as these were all bits from partially damaged or sets missing bits or cases.
cigar box is lined with foam and houses them.all of course all parts are interchangeable.;)
of course i have favorite tto razors and such but i could easily keep these and not need another.

I have previously said that the Stirling HA beats the 2011 R41 hands down, but have since returned to the R41. I have not used the Progress in years, but would not hesitate to pick it up again and slam it wide open.

Yes $600 is not cheap but you can get the P076 316 Machined finish for $230. The extra cost is really the labor it takes for the high polish which takes many hours to do. His polish is one of the best in the business
