There's only one that I like as a splash and that's Ogalala (in regular bay rum and in bay rum-peppercorn-lime "flavors"). As a shave soap, it's Queen Charlotte Soaps (they call it Cayman).

    1. Black River Bay Rum (my own)
    2. Ogallala —lime & peppercorn
    3. Clubman (clovey)

I can't see myself having more than three types of BR in my already crowded den…..

I have no idea. But, if you go on the site, you can get samples of the cream version which is really an Italian-style soft soap. QCS creams are just a touch nicer than the soaps, anyhow.

  6. Ok thnx my bro

  7. I love how Kramperts has that great spice with a cane sugar or brown sugar sweetness. Great stuff

I haven't even tried five bay rums so I can't really give a good answer, but I can say I do like TSD, Captain's Choice and Stirling, all of which smell mostly like Carribean Bay itself, and I don't care as much for VIBR, which basically just smells like cloves to me.

    For me:

    1) Pinaud Bay Rum
    2) Burt's Bees Bay Rum (discontinued)
    3) Ogallala Bay Rum
    4) DR Harris Bay Rum

    Not necessarily in that order.

  16. Hairy Alaskan

    Hairy Alaskan eww da toilet

    I've only used three

Of them I would rate them: 1-Masters Bay Rum, 2-Spice Aftershave (cheap dollar store bay rum type aftershave), and a distant 3rd would be the Clubman Bay Rum which is super clovey and not to my or my wife's liking.

the only reason it made my list of three is because I had only three to list. I don't particularly mind the 'clovey-ness' (clovishness?) of the Clubman, but when the wife asks if I washed up in a bowl of mulled christmas cider, I know it is time to find a new fragrance...

  18. My wife says I smell like a clove bomb went off (VIBR) same with Ogalalla. She also says I smell like the baby's teething gel we rub on our sons gums due to teething pain. Lol

I recently purchased a bottle of Kramperts and I have really enjoyed it. The smell is nice but the conditioning of the skin is really what I like about it

    1. Stephans (love it, can't explain why)
    2. Superior 70 (cheap, mild, wish they sold it locally)
    3. Burt's Bees BR balm (on my last can, used rarely)
    3. Avon B.R. (now very vintage but excellent)
    4. Ogallala regular (a tad burny, but very good)
