I'm setting up a prototyping lab at the engineering firm where I work, which will include some 3D printers. A DE razor might make a good display piece, and there are plastics loaded with metal powder that could give a razor a nice heft and smooth finish without the need for plating. So, here's my question... If you could design your own razor, combining the best features from your favorite DEs, maybe adding some new aspect, what would your ultimate razor be? It may be a long time before the lab is up and running, but if there's an inspirational idea out there, I'll build it and post a pic in the future.
I was going to say an open comb Super Adjustable with knurling similar to that of a Red Tip. If possible, safety bar on one side, OC on the other.
A razor that gives a BBS shave with one pass using a 10th shave Derby blade & Col Conk soap without any nicks, weepers or irritation.
Stainless Steel Fatboy with British Aristocrat Spiral/Barbershop style knurling and blade gaps equal to the Futur. Was that specific enough? A guy can dream right?
U do realise with gap adjustment like the future some people will shed tears even on level 1 lol now adjustment starting from asd2 to future #6 is a different story
Why not? If you want to make it even more flexible than my plan by widening the adjustment possibilities, I'm game. As long as you keep my most aggressive settings, I won't complain.
Cutting lasers, plus alignment lasers. Need to be able to see where goatee, mustache, and sideburns start to avoid ragged uneven edge trimming. Room for a charging port and accessory solar panel for post apocalypse shaving pleasure.
I think we're getting WAY off subject. If @BigMike can design a 3D razor half as good as our ideas, he's a genius.
