.. I have always been cheap. Thrifty you might say. When it came to shaving I always used the cheapest crap I could. I never liked shaving, it was something Uncle Sam made me do. That was part of the contract. I used a Gillette Mach3 a few times and liked the result. I really did, but I was too cheap to get myself those super expensive cartridge packs. But I contemplated it everytime I went to Costco.

Then I started to get interested in wet shaving. I liked the idea of a hard soap and a brush. I liked the idea of a blade to my face but it could clearly not be as good as the new and improved cartridges. I bought myself a 1961 Gillette DE razor... watched some youtube... and tried it and it sucked. But I learned more... learned how to pre-shave, what soap would work for me, let the blade do the work.

Now I am a wet shaver... and a veteran... and a nerd... and all that.
