Actually, you're getting more soap, and a big-honkin' bowl for that money. It's still a "luxury item," but it's not as exorbinant as it looks initially (IMO).
So you don't want to shell out $80 for a bowl of soap? OK, Let's break things down. Who do you think has great shave bowls for their soaps? Where can you get really nice wood shave bowls sans soap? And, who has the best shave bowl/soap combination value? I can answer that C&E has a good bowl/soap value. @$13-15
But is the C&E bowl large enuf to make lather in? There are few soaps/creams that I can build lather in... TSD Lavender EO soap Castle Forbes Lime Cream....probably because so much is gone in the tub That's about the only ones that I have room for lather building. I've caught deals on it for that amount. Maybe that was a little unfair of me. I have not had to pay more than $15 on eHay plus shipping. The bowl is full, so no, you can't lather in the bowl.
