Adding 3rd pin to an Ern

I’ve had this in my to do pile for a while...
Ern has registered brands of both Turban and Bur, and this razor seems to have a little of both . I don’t think that this is the way it is supposed to be, but even if it is a Frankenstein razor, I sort of dig it. But the scales were a little thin at the razor’s heel so I wanted to fix that by adding a 3rd pin.

Sanding the area after the punch slipped when making my pilot hole... whoops:

Creating the internal rest out of a synthetic turquoise. I drill the 5/32 hole and then use the drill bit and dremel to remove material. Surprisingly keeps a decent round shape. Looks like this:

Mock up the size and put a dab of super glue to hold it where I want it.

Then finish it up with my normal pinning process. Never really worry about this one being super tight.

Time to hone it up and put it in service! Have a great weekend.
