Are any of these a good buy?

Lady is holding these for me at a local antique store. She called me to come look at them before she puts them out. They are in great shape. She'll negotiate some but not a lot. The adjustables are 19.95 & 24.95. I was interested in the aristocrat. Advice please? IMG_0056.JPG IMG_0057.JPG

I'd say the adjustables, aristocrat, and flair tip are decent deals if you like how they shave.

Offer 20 each for the adjustables and offer her 30 for the Aristocrat.

Forgot to say that I've already got 2 adjustables. I did like the flare tip too.

If you have 2 adjustables, let them go and grab the aristocrat. I would be happy out the door for $35.

The flair tip is a nice mild razor but wont do anything more than your current razors. It would be a nice razor if you want to pass it on and get someone hooked on DE wetshaving.

Is the other gold one called a fat handle tech?

Yes, fat handle post war Tech but what you see is brass not gold (second from end on right). And I love the Aristocrats (sixth razor)

Ok, that's what I was wanting to know, thanks!

Yes. It is an oval slot Fat Handle Tech. That one is not a great deal as all the plating is gone from the top cap.

They are nice shavers, but you could definitely do better than that price on it. In that condition, I wouldn't pay more than $10 for the razor.

Very nice condition and priced okay. The best advice on any pricing is, if you like it and can afford it but it

IMHO the Gillette post war Aristocrats are among the best razors Gillette ever made. I got a hand-me-down from my dad and liked it so much I have bought several others over the years.

I agree what most have said. Pass on the slims unless you can get a great deal on both. The price is fair but maybe get them for $15. The aristocrat is also fair. I'd try to get to $30-$35. The aluminum and gold techs I'd offer $8-$10. And the flair tip I'd offer $10 if it's super nice.

Very cool that you were able to hang onto your Dad's razor. Next, your son can have it and your Dad's memory lives on for another generation.
