The Brian Brown razor arrived in today's mail. First impressions with razor in hand: Very light weight. Of course, I've been using some heavy Sheffield blades as of late so pretty much ANY razor will feel light in comparison to those old bruisers. A wipe down of the greased blade revealed a very keen edge. Thumb notch feels very natural and comfortable when holding the razor in the standard position (see next-to-last photo below). Wicked point on the French-style tip. I'll probably give the razor a go for this evening's shave. Some more shots with a few details...
I have a thumb notch on my Dovo. I really like the notch, my custom will likely sport a thumb notch. Yours is just gorgeous . Can't wait for the shave report
One shave in the books. Such an easy razor to hold and use— especially following a traditional kamisori use early this morning! I do need to watch the point on this blade however as it extends OUTWARDS unlike most of my razors. Those French. One little bite & bleeder. Other than that, smooth sailing...
