Buying To Start My Vintage DE Razor Collection ? #2

    That is a NEW Long Comb with a ball end handle. The handles are famous for their cracks. That one has a doozer (last picture). They are very nice shavers.

    That’s a Gillette New long comb. That set could be very late 1920s to 1930s. There’s gold plating on it and is subject to wearing off with use. However, it’s all solid brass and will last many lifetimes. It’s an excellent razor and they are fairly affordable. It’s on the mild side, but not too mild in my opinion. It’s a razor that you could use every day and never get tired of it.

    Jim, you have good eyes. I didn’t even notice the crack.

    Yes, those handles are prone to cracking.
