Tom, I don't enjoy Techs, at all, either! It seems we share that one thing. :lyrtuy5:

I really enjoyed many aspects of your razor, but the way the head is designed seems to contribute to the issue with the accumulation of lather and the slight difficulty shaving at certain angles on my neck, unfortunately.

Thank you, again, and I wish you the greatest success with the razor. :)

All I asked for was your honest feedback. You tried it, and gave me feedback. I truly appreciate it.

    Thank you for trying it.

The Bunny has landed...#4 on the list.
It arrived too late in the day...shave had already been done.

So April 1 (Not April Fool's day joke)
    Bunny Shave #1
Initial impression - opened up the box. Although I have seen many pictures - the size vs weight was deceptive.
Meaning it looks bigger and heavier - until you pick it up.
    Nice craftsmanship.

Load up a new Chick blade.
A bit of an initial challenge as the blade end furthest from the magazine loader would not line up to fit under the tab. There seems to be more flex in the back plate than I expected.

    Brush: Plissoft Monster
    Soap: Tabac
    Bunny: NOTSO
    AS: Aqua Velva Blue

Usual ritual: warm water and face lather.
    Shower and head shave.

Finding the initial angle -which is different from a standard injector ( unfortunately I have no experience with Repeater injectors) took some adjustment.
Some auditory feedback. The open comb is deceptive as it captures lather.
    Handle grip is very good.
Blade angle of attack is finite. Easier to find than the PAL adjustable but not as easy as the Injectomatic.
Face: 2 Pass (XTG, ATG) - touch up on the chin line.
That being said I have a Van Dyke beard - so no manoeuvring around nose & lips.
Quite efficient. Smoothness is deceptive - which I think is a function of the OC base plate.

    Part II
    Head shave.
I think I might be one of the first or few who will use the Bunny as a dome duster or buster...depending...
This is a little bit more difficult as you can not see the angle of the razor head. With the water running in the shower, the auditory feedback is somewhat muffled.
Thought I would start with the MILD comb. Too mild. Appeared to clog up faster with soap residue (in reference to Celestino's point).
That being said the lather could have been thicker/more abundant - on the back of my head. Don't know.
Back of my head took 3 passes and touch up.
Difficult areas: behind the ears - base of scalp where the vertebrae of the neck join.
Switched back to NOTSO comb. Better results for sides and top.
Angles tend to be the most problematic and require touch ups: Jaw line and scalp line

So the initial resume from the first full meal deal shave.
BBS - smooth, no hook ups.
Head angle takes some getting use to. It is not as manoeuvrable as I thought.
I found that placing my index finger on the back plate helped guide the angle.

We shall see how long BBS lasts...along with Shave #2.

    Bunny Shave #2
    Blade: Chick (2)
    Brush: Plissoft Monster
    Soap: Tabac
    Bunny: NOTSO
    AS: Aqua Velva Blue

Usual ritual: warm water and face lather.
    Same feeling as yesterday.
2 pass BBS - maybe even Dolphin Skin Smooth (ref. ®Billyfergie)
    Actually less touch up.
Best/cleanest I have had below the chin - even chin line.
Not even a tingle from the AS.

For the sake of comparative science.
Dome was done out of the shower. 1) So I could see what I was doing... 2) Hear better without the water running.
The same challenges with the "angles of my pointy head"!
Three pass + tough ups -The shave was clean without hook ups.

    Couple of empirical comments.
I have never been a fan of OCs- not that I don't like them - just never saw the advantage.
In this particular case I find that the trail of soap is distracting ( in the sense that it doesn't look like I have finished shaving that area).
I suspect that the design of the baseplate could accommodate a straight bar - or maybe a different profile.
Also, the protruding angle of that edge of the baseplate is where the lather accumulates.
Whether the brave souls in Europe who used the Bunny without a baseplate had different results remains to be seen.
So that is really nit picking....

The counterpoint is I am overly conscious of handle - expecting it to slip. Even with a light grip - no issue at all.
The key to success with this razor is a light touch.

    The shave was smooth.
Yesterday's BBS lasted about 10 hrs. I suspect the same or better today.

Bunny Shave #3 - was just a plain mystery.
    Blade: Chick (3)
    Brush: Plissoft Monster
    Soap: Tabac
    Bunny: NOTSO
    AS: Aqua Velva Blue

The usual culprits in terms of set up.
However this time - the shave was like scraping the scales of a fish. 2 passes with barely any result.
It was not an angle of attack, or blade alignment.
First time that a Chick dies after two shaves. Mind you in my case it is a full meal deal ( including the dome).
    Nevertheless....disturbing.
Finished off the shave with tried and true - G with a Feather cut down.

Figured another day, another blade, another shave.

    Bunny shave #4-#5-#6

    Back to usual.
First strokes on #4 - "over" concentrating to make sure that I had the proper angle.
As with the first shaves. 2 pass BBS.
    BBS lasted 10-12 hrs
    It speaks for itself.
This is a truly nice design that produces an efficient shave.
NOTSO is the comb set up for me.
Mild was too mild. WILD although efficient I could feel that it was more aggressive.
Tried one pass without the comb - that is just not worth it! :duel:

In retrospect with 6 shaves under my belt. It definitely works.
More effort is required for dome busting. Not so much in the ability to whack the whiskers. Rather the manoeuvrability of the head on different angles - that you can't always see.
Hats off to Tom for designing, producing such a razor

Great Reviews..You Certainly Don't leave much Unturned so to Speak..The NOTSO Suits me as Well with a Chick blade anyway..For some Reason the Chick Blade Feels Awesome Sharp in the Bunny Compared to any Other Injector I have used them in & 2nd is the PAL Injecto..:angelic007:

If the turn around man the last one in the cycle? If so wouldn't @Spud be the new turn around man, or am I confused again? :happy097: Maybe I shouldn't be laughing until I hear the answer. :)

First shave with the Bunny injector razor.

Received the Bunny razor from @Hodge (Colin) quickly as he sent it by expedited mail. Arrived well packed in box and with a few blades remaining an injector cartridge. Immediately noticed the nice contrast between the two metals of the razor. Wife commented that it was the best looking injector she has seen yet. Nice packaging setup by Tom of the razor, combs and stand in foam and metal case.

Sporting a one day growth I decided the mild comb would be the ideal to start with. Cleaned the razor and proceeded to load in a new blade. Was cognoscente of some concerns of the loading of a new blade, nothing a twist could not solve and frankly had greater issue with previous E2 loading. Prepped and lathered face using my current favourite soap Proraso sensitive. Find it best to use sound to determine best angle for razor on face, which I quickly established. Expected a real mild shave but found the razor had no issue chopping my mild 24hr growth.
Did a 3 pass WTG and 2x XTG rinsing and applying soap. Ended up with a clean nic free shave.

    Observations:

    * The B-razor has its own sound while whisking whiskers different pitch than any other razor I’ve used.
    * Rinsed easier than my other injectors. Soap type may affect this as Proraso sensitive rinses easily. Comb vs solid bar also makes this easier.
    * Tapering from head to handle forced my hand to slip and hold handle lower than I was accustomed. Wondered if a more traditional “T” design similar to the type “F” would be more ideal or just a learning matter on my part.
    * With regard to weight distribution, found it a bit head heavy vs handle. Could also be an learning adjustment on my part.

Will wait 36hrs for “notso” comb shave and shave after shower for softened whiskers.

Fun shaving experience for long awaited razor. Looking forward to 2nd trial.
