Hi Gary, I too have a 1953 Canadian Gillette Tech. Mine is part of a military set. Here's a photo-

I know I have seen Tech razors made in Canada from later years.

I thought Gillette Canada never produced any TTO razors?

Very nice looking kit! Excuse the newbie questions - would this razor be acceptable to use or is it something that's only for collectable purposes? (oh man, I see another rabbit hole creeping up on me)

Hi, this particular kit was NOS when I got it. I originally bought it to collect, but decided to use it anyway. I have used almost every razor in my collection. If you buy a razor, it is up to you how it is used. Display, or daily driver. It's up to you.

Almost all razors are usable. It's up to you whether you want to use it or not. Some razors were made with a proprietary blade and unless you have some they can't be used. Some that have proprietary blades can be used by modifiying new blades to fit. Feel free to ask questions anytime you have them.
