Hi Gary, I too have a 1953 Canadian Gillette Tech. Mine is part of a military set. Here's a photo- I know I have seen Tech razors made in Canada from later years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i didn t know that.i have a arist jr made in england,in canadian rocket case.never seen anything newer.was on ebay and all i saw were techs,(one like yours only rougher condition) a new, and old types.newest techs from canada were 1953.
Very nice looking kit! Excuse the newbie questions - would this razor be acceptable to use or is it something that's only for collectable purposes? (oh man, I see another rabbit hole creeping up on me) Gary
Hi, this particular kit was NOS when I got it. I originally bought it to collect, but decided to use it anyway. I have used almost every razor in my collection. If you buy a razor, it is up to you how it is used. Display, or daily driver. It's up to you.
Almost all razors are usable. It's up to you whether you want to use it or not. Some razors were made with a proprietary blade and unless you have some they can't be used. Some that have proprietary blades can be used by modifiying new blades to fit. Feel free to ask questions anytime you have them.
Here are my 2 Canadians Brass Old Type head with brass thin common bar handle. I don't know what the original plating was.
