I voted for the fatip. But it can cause irritation if you haven't developed soft hands. If heavy handed with either of these two razors, you'll end up sore.

Between the 37C and the Piccolo, I find that the Piccolo cuts through 4 or 5 days of growth a little easier. The Piccolo is one of my favorite razors.

A tech will take off a week worth of growth without any issue.

Just get the one you like.

I MUCH preferred the Fatip over the Merkur slant. I found it every bit as efficient and much more comfortable. The Fatip still sits on the shelf, and the 37C is long gone.

I think they both work pretty well but the OC might have an advantage on an especially heavy beard.

I've had both these razors and still have the Fatip. I've tried a couple slants and for whatever reason, I just never got better shaves from them. The claims of easier slicing through whiskers didn't really seem to be true.

I voted for the 39c because you can let the heavy weight of the razor do the work. For me, it makes using little to no pressure that much easier. With lighters razors, I tend to apply more pressure without even thinking about it.
