Favorite Bay Rum?

No clove, plenty of bay and spice, great skin conditioning...and best of all, easy to make!

 

But does it lather?

And, no, it lathers horribly! best to use it only as an aftershave!

 

Captain's Choice! Great stuff - best scent, wonderful burn. Doesn't get any better

 

I haven't tried any other bay rum soaps so my vote goes for the only one I have... Captain's Choice. Love the smell and it lathers super easy. I am very curious about the Krampert's since everyone that uses it loves it.

Green Mountain bay rum, scent is subtle and refreshing. This is a triple milled soap.

 

Canadian Shave Co Bay rum and Lime. Like a fresh bay rum. One of the only bay rums i like

 

I forgot mystic waters bay rum. Its great. Not much clove at all.

 

Martinsville Soapworks Bay Rum!! Awesome scent and great lather.

 

Meissner Tremonia is my favourite Bay Rum - it lists actual Rum as part of the ingredients and I suspect that this may go some way to producing the wonderful scent it has.

 

Oh yeah Honey Bee Gardens Bay Rum after shave is incredible!

 

I've only tried Stephan so far. Great cushion/performance, although I did think it was a little too clovey(not as clovey as others I've read about though). I'd get Stephan again.

I'm fairly new to DE shaving and have only used one Bay Rum so far. Captain's Choice. I'm working my way through other soaps but the Captain's Choice is the standard I keep judging new soaps against. It produces such a rich thick lather and the clove scent is great. I use it every friday afternoon in preparation for "date night".
