Okay, I used sample A this morning, but I still need to update the chart. However, preliminary observations are :

    Easy lathering
    Does not dry out
Very mild scent, with a hint of menthol
Slick enough for my SR shave this morning
    Not much face feel afterwards
    Scale of 1 to 10: 7

I used it for my SR shave this morning and did three passes with it. This is a decent soap and, depending on the price, could be one I would add to my den.

I scored sample A a seven for the same reasons as Jim.
I lathers easily and lasts. Not a lot of scent but smells nice. Plenty slick for a straight razor shave.
I actually liked this cream and would use it.

"A" gave me quite a good shave. Slickness and ease of lather were quite good. Cushion was up there. It got dinged on scent because there wasn't much of one, but what was there was pleasant. Face feel was on the better side of average.

"B" has a stronger scent that I didn't find unpleasant, but I could not really decide that I really liked it, either. It fell a bit behind "A" on slickness and cushion, but was still very usable. Post shave face feel is where it fell off for me a bit. Not terrible, but I did feel I actually needed the aftershave.

My package arrived today. I'll start with sample A tomorrow morning, unless I delay until Monday with having a day off.

Today I moved on to sample B. I paired it up with my Engels SR and my @Jayaruh brush #221. I like this cream. I’ve listed my results below.

    Slickness: 7
    Cushion: 7
    Longevity: 10
    Ease of lathering: 7
Fragrance: 8 (I couldn’t figure out the scent, but my wife says it smells like sage)
    Longevity of fragrance: 8
    Post feel: 7

Would I buy this cream? Well, if I knew what it was, yes.

I used sample B today as well. I did like the smell better than A. It lathered well and I scored it similarly.[IMG]

I gave A a go today. Fresh Atra blade in a Gillette NEW LC. I took a small dab of the cream and rubbed it on my cheeks then face lathered with my plissoft brush. Made a quick, slick and shiny lather but it dissipated just a bit while I futzed around moving towels, etc., but a quick painting brought it right back. First pass was good and I was impressed with how my skin felt as I rinsed and felt for strays. 2nd pass was easy peasy and final results were good. I didn't find the scent to be offensive, so that was good. It wasn't the slickest, but it did fine.

Some great feedback so far fellers. Can I ask that everyone fills in the spreadsheet? I will collate all of the results at the end and see which one comes out on top and THEN I will name the creams/soaps.

If you want to have a guess on what the creams are then fire away.

Sure thing. I’m filling out the spreadsheet as I go along. These have been some good shave creams so far. I’m up to example C and I’ll post up my results shortly.

That's great. I am glad you are enjoying this challenge/survey. Keep the feedback coming in the thread too - it is great to hear what you lot say about the creams especially as I KNOW what they are.....
