I was watching this auction, but did not bid... I'm curious in this German Push Button Safety Razor that is between the Lady Gillette and Gillette Ranger Tech. Does anyone know what it is and the background information on it? How does it function? Is the plate fixed and the push button how the head releases?

Why do you think it's push button and not a regular screw off handle?

The head resembles a Mulcuto Werk, or a Servus, but there aren't enough teeth. Many of the old German razors are unbranded.

Well it went for $77 including a Lady Gillette, Travel Gillette, a Star, a 41 Ranger Tech, an that interesting German Push button. All in all I really don't think the buyer over paid.

This is what I found quickly.

    The Schiller Push Button
    The Gladweg Push Button

The push button razor patent was awarded to Enrst Linhorst in 1939

:signs021: I might of bid on it if I saw it.

Because it is described as a push button in the auction. Also if you look at the other photos you'll see there is a gap between the button and the handle.
