Got poor tired razors? I need help with project.

The "International Guarantee" tag is only there to give the camera something to auto-focus on. I have to drill the hole in the scales to set the pin but this is what it will look like eventually.

I am glad It all works for you Jeff. WoW thoes scales look great. I know what you mean about takeing pics the auto focus on my camera wont work on this flat black coating. Will post pics on the next canidates soon. Update was able to get the air eraser mini sand blaster so want to use it on next batch of razors, wish me luck.

I got a mini metal lathe for turning Pens due to precision keeps them round not oval even if no one else could see it i could. Thinking i could turn my own brush blank with it want to get a pattern or brush i like. Trying to focus on one project at a time coating razors is it at the moment.

I think we all have a little bit of the "more than one project" time and focus drainer. It tends to keep projects from being completed in a timely manner. I know I sometimes suffer from this. :happy102

 

I started looking at some lathes on Harbor Freight yesterday. Are you saying that you got the metal lathe because you couldn't get the results you wanted from a wood lathe?

I got the shearline lathe recommended form friend but i also herd that the mini harbor fright ones are good but never tried one, bigger turning i use a shop smith lathe. Price is usually what determines which one peeps get, i got a bonus used it on the lathe.

yeah.. another toy that I have wanted for years and have opportunity to own. If I ever get a house (not likely around here as a dump costs far more than I can afford) that will be one of my first purchases.

 

Update

So i did the OT got the air eraser (mini sand blaster). hooked it up to the regulator and it was blowing out the back of the handle, called company said no it shouldn't be doing that (bad QC) :sick007. They are sending out replacement will post pics of next candidates and eraser hopefully next week. Working on several 3 piece razors and first tto Fat Boy (thanks Etoyoc for letting me tear it apart ). cleaning now and wait for the eraser to arrive hopefully Monday.

Got the new tested and dirty but working air eraser. Been useing it, will get done a and take pics post them later tonight of the Next batch.

Whew been very busy NEXT!!

I used the air eraser works good. It is not faster because i can get into nooks and crannies. OK Mr Carrington I must apologies for messing up your razor(third one down) i was to make it the same as last time but well hope you like it. I am still working on your razors Etoyoc almost finished will post soon and get them back to you.
