*sigh* I hate enablers.... So I was a bit disappointed that I was still able to order a tub of this. But I guess I should be glad I was able to. Also picked up the Select Citrus... Good thing I have a shaving fund.
Got mine tonight and used Jeff's Soap.... Interesting scent. Nothing in my (limited) experience I've smelled before in a soap. As for lathering, super easy to lather. And I definitely sniffed some residual smells between passes which was nice. No regrets!
This is a very nice performing soap. It will definitely stay in my rotation. Continuing to pray for Jeff.
Tried it tonight with a Blackbird and a Voskhod blade. Very nice clean scent; not too strong. Great lather, good lubrication, excellent protection. I did a three pass shave and I’m BBS. Many thanks. I hope it was lucrative for Jeff. I see the link was taken down, was the soap sold out? Anyway, I like!
Hi guys. I've been gifted Jeff's Soap, which was bought and remained unused, from the Cold River Soap Works. Firstly, I'd like to say what amazing soap it is: it lathers easily and the post shave feel is AMAZING! I can't find any information about the soap and I was hoping I might receive a few pointers/links here. I'm trying to find out what scent is the soap is and whether it is one of their SELECT soaps which I think are tallow based, please correct me if I'm wrong. Jeff's Soap contains stearic acid, but that could come from a vegetable source rather than from tallow. Is it a recent soap? Amazing soap, but I guess the most important question should be: did Jeff make it through? I really hope so. Thank you Mark
I dont think its one of their Select soaps. Cold River makes some great soaps. I highly recommend their regular soaps. Both Glide and Select which are tallow.
Cold River Soap Works has other good soaps, too. https://www.coldriversoapworks.com/shaving-soap.html
