Not sure if you guys saw the sad news of the possible closure of the Personna plant. Might be time to stock up on SE blades and Personna injector blades if you like them.

Schick E2 for a quick DFS.
Face lathered with the Omega brush
    Homebrewed soap is working well
Cold water between passes. This morning 2 passes.
Finished with witch hazel splash. Not as smooth as a GEM but still a great shave.

Used the Eversharp-Schick model J for two days now. What an easy razor to use! Very nice shave, very comfortable!

Another wonderful SE shave this morning. I'm free styling my rotation this week and this morning chose the Micromatic Bullet tip from the rack. I would have to say this is very close to perfection as far as a razor is concerned. Fairly mild but oh so efficient. BBS in 2 very pleasant passes.
    Brush Turkish #6
Soap My latest - Face lathered but will try my scuttle with this soap tomorrow.
GEM SS blade #4 I think
    Razor GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
    Witch Hazel slash.
No cuts or weepers and zero irritation.

Great shave. Now I have to wait another 24 hours !!

Started today with my 2nd injector razor, a Eversharp-Schick Model G. Very nice shave, easier to find the angle sweet spot than most DE razors.

I like the J series. It is my favorite injector for a smooth easy shave. The type F series is used when I want to get a super close shave (aggressive).

today I used my 1924, it may be the best built razor in my whole collect. I'm amazed at the workmanship and quality. no to mention the ease of use to get a great shave.
today I noticed an eight on the bottom of the razor.
could one of the knowledgeable guys (@Bird Lives, @HoosierTrooper )chime in and tell me about this razor?

Used my Star SE again today. RazorRock XXX, Strongset brush.

I guess I'm still learning my SE technique. The Star is more difficult to find the "sweet spot" than my injectors. Result was a CCS. I guess that's OK, but not as close, or as comfortable, as I'm used to with a DE.

Single pass shave today with the GEM Jewel. A DFS without trying. I used a Treet Super blade today sent when I purchased the Jewel. I'm quite impressed with it as a blade but being carbon steel there is a procedure to follow to extend the blade life. I need to be careful of the actual razor weight as pressure is really obvious with this razor as it has a tendency to shave much closer than you realise.

Yo David of CF....you got you one gorgeous piece of razor there, my friend....and I am with you...I hope one of the knowledgeable cats around here does show up and shine a little light in this #8 mystery.....I'll try to check this out....But from what we all know about this beauty so far...We do know it was made before 1925, because that piece the handle screws into was changed in 1925. And we do know that these were built to last...It's such a shame that you don't see this kind of workmanship in....well for many years. This razor is a genuine masterpiece of functional art. It would cost a fortune to build that razor today, and this this high an attention to detail...

I'll check around, and lets get some action going out there....Come on! What does that #8 mean? We have a real mystery here, and inquirering minds want to know....I tell you what....whoever breaks this one gets free menthol at the SE Party Bar for a month....}8^))
