I have couple of Ladies Eversharps with the Hydro Magic Head whilst I like my more aggressive injectors its fast becoming one of my favoured injectors with those crazy sharp NOS Schick Platinum blades.....:chores016:

I thought my I2 had the name Hydro-Magic but it was still listed on the razor and case as Eversharp Schick (no Hydro-Magic listed) so my mistake on that. My J3 has Hydro-Magic on the case and I believe the my J4 if it had a case it would also have that moniker.

You know the scene in Gone With the Wind where Scarlett is standing in the garden and saying "As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again!"? I get a small version of that every time we run out of chicken nuggets.

Yeah, that's correct Sir....Some of them did a some of them didn't but you're essentially correct though as they all have the Hydro Magic feature of the so called rinsing lever...;)

Yo Rufus...Sounds like your Shave Cave will be rockin this September please keep us up to speed....And don't be afraid of your E type or PAL...remember Billy said, will bite if provoked....Just don't provoke it and you should love it....I have never met a Schick that I didn't LOVE...:love055:
Once you have a handle on either of your Hydro-magics you should be ready for all...And the good news is I think most agree that the learning curve for Injectors is very short...In fact some complain that when they shave with injectors they feel like they are cheating....If you show the E type the respect it deserves, being the Senior razor of your Injector Collection, I'm sure you'll be fine...

Actually all things are relative...See the H-Ms are like sportcars, really....you can race around you face with reckless abandon and do 4 passes and still get a close, irritation free shave...Therefore, because with the E you have to drive like you just saw the Sheriff has pull in behind you, people talk about how agressive it is...It still has a faster learning curve than most anytype of other vintage shaving system, and it obtains the same great results as your Hydro-magics but with half as many passes.....Just pay attention, where as with your Is and Js you don't have to pay attention...lol...You'll see what I mean....

And don't provoke it!....Keep it clean and shiny, well fed with quality blades, and luxurious lather....a happy E type with take care of you and show you a good time also, believe me....

So please give us you feedback, with a stroke, by stroke coverage of you Injector Maiden Voyages....I'm sure future DE shavers considering Injectors will greatly benifit...... aswell as all of us who are eagerly anticipating seeing you really enjoy every stroke this SEptember....

I just received a G 1 with a loose spring. It doesn't appear to be a result of the spring being forced in an attempt to open the head. Instead, I'm thinking the head may have been bent back at some point in its past. I say this since the downward angle of the head from the handle assembly is less distinct and not as pronounced as the other Gs and E in my collection. I'm guessing if I had the right tools that I could re-angle the head to create the required tension between the head and the spring. Has anyone ever done this or have any suggestions for trying it out? :signs002:

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Awfully nice of you Mr. B!
I need all the advice I can get with this new-found passion. Keep sending it my way! :happy088:
I fear no equipment, but respect all of them - from the Fiat to the Maserati!
    :transport016:

I must admit, I had been cheating a bit on my DE shaves the first few months and using the H-M J3 to trim around the mustache and goatee/patch!
    Very smooth!

I will stop by from week to week with an update here and at the SOTD thread, and you'll find me each day of SE SEptember in the 30-Day thread, where shavers are always welcome (as you know!) to focus on their technique or specific products. We do have fun over there while we experiment! :kar:

On a personal note, I suspect you live in the PacNW, so I'm reminding you of the Seattle Shave Con on September 19! :happy036:

Midnight shave w/ the Schick Paul Revere. This razor is really growing on me...which is a bit worrisome considering it's size :)

When the Heads are like that Karl it would indicate that someone has used something like a screwdriver to force it open at some point to get a blade out and knackered it....I don't think that there is anyway back from that I am afraid....:chores016:

Yeah - I just like a challenge! I've gotten a full refund from a very cooperative seller but the quest still goes on. I've tried pushing the outside of the head flat to the countertop with opposing pressure beneath rivet (using my fingers) and it seems to have made a difference. The spring no longer rattles when shook but can be moved ever so slightly side to side with my finger and thumb. However, I'm still a little dubious about shaving with it. Abundance of caution and all of that sort of thing. :rolleyes005:

That's great news on the refund. Sir...As long as the blade is not moving Karl it should be fine ....If there is blade movement I would resign myself to having an ornament ....:chores016:
