Thanks for the info Billy! I'm going to have to wait and see how they do, I'm kinda spoiled by the Chicks.

In my experience those NOS blades you have there are a far superior blade...They are sharper, smoother and more efficient...They wont last as long mind you...I only use a Chick blade in my PAL Injectors & my Type F...Other than that NOS blades are my Go blades...Have been for sometime now...:)

OK.....I understand......I'll PM my address....And I appreciate your insisting that I use both your Dutch razor aswell as those blades....You are too kind.....:happy096:......:happy102::happy097:

PS...I'm sorry....I couldn't resist.....lol.....All kidding aside....You; my man; are doing a bang-up job with these reviews of these exotic razors and blades that most of us would never know about....I'm Enjoying these exotic shaves vicariously through you and getting an education at the sametime....My compliments to the chef..:happy096:

Please keep up the good work....I'm know we all appreciate the sacrificies you make to bring us these shave combo reviews....although maybe some of our swmbo's don't appreciate how much time some of us now spend on the Bay....but .....they do appreciate their men being well shaven and great smelling (at least those using the veg?)....lol...

I've put together a small stock of these and I like them a lot. I would agree with Billy that they are perhaps slightly better than the Schick Plus Platinums. I actually find them to be almost as good as the legendary Personna 74 Tungsten blades while being easier to find and not triggering crazy-stupid bidding wars on eBay.

All 3 of these NOS blades are sharper and smoother for me than the Chicks or Personna/Pellas - and those are actually pretty decent blades.

I even like the Super Chromiums in my PAL Injecto-Matic, but it requires a really, and I mean really light touch.

Victor Octavius Rodrigues was the inventor of the Schick D, E, F, G,& H types...

I have seen all the patents and Vic is the man....Schick invented the first Repeater and got the first pat for a blade magazine...But Victor Octavius Rodrigues invented the injector razor as we know it....

I had never heard of this cat and it turns out he's The Man!
Come on...The D, all the E's, the F, Gs and the H...no wonder the H turned out to be fantastic....seems everything Rodrigues touched was Gravy...He also was responsible for the Canadian E/G Schicks ..I want a Victor Octavius Rodrigues T-Shirt!

Holy Repeater Schickman.....I just saw where my man Rodrigues invented the Schick Simplified Automatic type C repeater....Can words discribe this guy or what?

Inspiring - I want one, too! Victor's the Man indeed. The D through the H are the sweet spot in my mind. Now that I think of it, the only Schick I own that he didn't touch is an adjustable I won last week. And it's only because of how the twin is said to transform it that fueled that purchase.

    Here's to Victor! :eatdrink047:

    Dutch NOS Injector Blade ( x 2)
    Semogue Boar Brush
    Biotique Shaving Soap (India)
    444 after shave gel
    Woodsman Aftershave Splash ( USA)

I had a lovely Dolphin Smooth Finish today with my Dutch made Hydro & Dutch NOS blade Combo...I got this Biotique shaving soap to try from India..Lovely natural apple scent, slick and very friendly towards the skin...I had heard it was as good as a Tallow soap...Its a great performer but not quite up there with a Tallow...I do like it though...I could almost eat it...Smells lovely...Merry Christmas Folks..:)

Here's a little bit more about Schick, Rodrigues, and Leopold Karl Kuhnl (who appears to have been the brains behind the adjustable and part of some of the earlier patents as well.) https://books.google.com/books?id=4oX3BgAAQBAJ&pg=PA502&lpg=PA502&dq=victor rodrigues schick&source=bl&ots=dPZg96xnaB&sig=LXRJ5jCOFPYl3w3jvWgYM2wFpFI&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiVt7jOk_XJAhVJ62MKHVeCCDwQ6AEIIDAA#v=onepage&q=victor rodrigues schick&f=false :happy088:

Just finished my shave. I must say that these repeaters are wonderful pieces of equipment. Had a DFS to BBS on my standard 3 pass shave. There is not a lot of feedback on my WTG. As soon as I go XTG & ATG this baby really sings. It is actually very easy to find the correct angle.

I liked this shave so much i will be using my B2 tomorrow. Then i can do a comparison. I do not think i will find much difference. B2 is a closed comb. It might be a bit smoother for me. Tomorrow will tell.

The second time with the PAL was even better than the first. Smooth and like Bird said you can move with this one. Angle is intuitive and the handle just works. Merry Christmas everyone!:happy088: image.jpeg

After staring off and on at my F for the past few days (and waiting for a stick of La Toja to arrive in the mail) I took it out for the maiden shave. Here's the short story: It shaves as good as it looks. Do I need to say more? :happy036:

From the first stroke I was immediately blown away. It had that super smooth, "Am I really shaving anything?" feeling. No kidding. It didn't matter if I used short strokes or long strokes it was like magic. It was positively encouraging me to shave with reckless abandon. First pass reduction was really good and by the third pass I was as smooth as could be. Some wet face touch ups and I was like a new man. So smooth, so smooth. No nicks, no weepers, no cuts. What was perhaps most impressive was the way it handled that touchy area between my lips and chin. Never a doubt or concern, it was like ice gliding on ice. No friction, no problem. :happy088:

Whew, baby, where have you been all my life? :love055:
