So a Schick made in China is a "Chick", does using one from Holland make you...er...it a "Hick"?

 

Here it is, the G6, the next stop in my journey through the Schick Type G series. The amber handle really stands out as unique in my mind and I really like shaving with it. Today's shave felt especially nice. The lather came up better today but I am also using a different blade. It's got a Schick NOS Plus Platinum loaded. Overall I am not a big fan of the Plus Platinums but it seems to be a really nice match with the G. End result? Smooth, smooth, smooth. A few re-opened weepers from the last shave but a light hand throughout made for a great Valentine's day shave.

I had a Dolphin Smooth Finish with my F Type Today..After shaving with the Rolls its like jumping into a Porsche Sports Car..I really enjoyed the Dutch Super Stainless blade in the F Type..This Baby will never see a Current Injector blade as long as I have her that's for sure..This Austrian Haslinger tallow soap is the Dogs Danglies an All..World Class Shave..Good Karma..

There is a decent looking type D on the bay getting ready to get sold, price seems pretty good at this moment....

I picked this up today and am not familiar with the handle. Any of you Gem experts recognize this model?

 

That's a Gem Peerless set, circa 1925. There was also a version with the same razor & handle in a natural finish gumwood case called the Conquerer.

They're smooth shavers. Nice Score!
