    Supply Single Edge V1 - plate 3 with Schick Proline Type B. [ 1 ]

Every Razor has a blade that works well with it, this it for the Single Edge. From an OK razor to a good one.

It really is a gorgeus piece of kit....A serious shaver could settle down with that one and make an honest shaver out of her for the rest of his shaving days...and be very happy...

I agree. It's everything I hoped for in a Gem razor

Thanks Herm. I snagged it on another forum BST. I have a Damaskeene SB and just couldn't resist the OC when it was listed.

When I used the 1914 Ever-Ready for the 1st time a few month's back I got the best shave of my life, and it my favorite safety razor. I got a second one from Karl a few weeks back and I figured I was good with my 2nd backup razor, but last week i won this on flee bay..it was poorly described and cost 23 bucks with the shipping. i was surprised at how well preserved the blades are. man there thick, should i use them? ?

They look good. I would give it a go. Just have the first aid kit nearby.

Sure give them a try. They will probably not be really smooth though. Being that thick they could be freshened up. I think @twhite can give more information there.

They will be fine if there is no rust. They will need a good stropping. Do not apply to much pressure Stropping. Light pressure is your friend.

If by chance you have a Stropping handle. You can give it a go on a finish hone. That will give it a good edge.

Let us know how it goes.

Just dropped by to show off my new Eversharp-Schick G4 in silver with blue handle. It was the "gem" in the middle of a lot I just got.

Very nice injector shave today. BBS in 3 passes, but did get a couple of weepers. Going to use the injectors for a little while to get the technique back, it's been too long.[IMG]

Tonight I opted for a New Carbon Gem blade. I chose not to shim it. Man was I not disappointed. 3 pass BBS. I seldom get what I consider a BBS.

As you might know, last shave I used a freshly honed Damaskeene blade. This was an outstanding shave. The new Carbon blade was even better. I am finding this razor to be VERY smooth but deceptively efficient. Right there with a 1924.

My next shave I will use my regular Dammy with a Gem Carbon blade.

I forgot how wonderful a SE shave is.

My very first SE shave was with an Ever Ready 1912. After the very first shave I never used a DE again. Say for a hand full of times.

    HAIL TO THE MIGHTY SE
