Thanks, it was my 1st restore. I appreciate it more now that I've moved to mostly face lathering. This was my only 14 for about a year , I recently added 3 more in better cosmetic condition. One is a travel set in the cream celluloid case that will be a Christmas gift for a friend.

It is Saturday night and the SE party continues for JAMIE. Unmolested Aluminum Colonial General with Proline on 2nd shave, still wickedly sharp and BBS was the result after 3 careful and patient passes. No pick ups needed tonight.... Peace , Jamie

As with the Alu. General I have taken to using a heavier S/S Handle on the Hawk, which works for me. I find the Hawk not as smooth as the General. But as it has more blade feel
it helps me assess the progress of the Shave, and I got a far better finish around the neck
than with the General. In fact I enjoyed todays Shave a lot more as I think the Hawk offers a greater challenge to a Shaver.

Real men face lather. I have a '24 in a case like that. Awesome set. Proceed along the path.

It is ok to be a little jealous of this mornings shave at Fuzzys hutch. The 1910 is a little molested but is happy with it. I am smooth as a crosseyed catfish. The whole set up, other then the razor head and blade, came from friends here at TSD.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #240 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I recently got this Williams Menthol off the Bay. Today is the first time I am using it. It is not very mentholly but the old formula really does lather so much better than the new one. I was thinking about getting some M-bomb from the TSD Store to bring the menthol back. We'll see.

Today was also the 16th outing with this scrapper blade and today it felt like a scrapper blade. Not as bad as it did in the '24 Shovelhead but still bad. I shaved about six times with it when it started to pull the last time. Then I stropped it before every shave and was able to get another ten more shaves out of the blade. It is no record but I don't think it's bad. So needless to say I disposed of the blade after todays shave.
